Terms and Conditions
Last Updated: 5 October 2026
1. What this site is
illegalin.eu (the "Site") is an independent portal publishing regularisation routes, a directory of vetted migration consultants and career consultants, and reporting on EU migration policy. It is not affiliated with any EU institution, Member State administration, or law firm. Nothing on the Site is individual legal advice.
2. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing any page of the Site you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you must leave the Site.
3. Editorial character of the content
Articles on the Site fall into three categories: feed (original commentary by illegalin.eu editors), briefing (daily analytical summaries), and procedural guide (regulatory walkthroughs). The editorial voice is pro-regularisation. The Site does not claim neutrality on whether undocumented workers in Europe should have legal routes available to them. It is strict, however, on the factual basis for every claim.
4. No individual legal advice
Nothing on this Site constitutes legal advice. Procedural guides, regulatory summaries, consultant listings and policy analysis are published as general reference. Any migrant whose application is in flight should retain a lawyer or accredited counsellor in the jurisdiction before relying on anything published here.
5. Reader safety
The Site is designed for undocumented readers to use safely: no account is required to read, no tracking cookies are set without consent, no personally identifiable data is logged beyond standard server records, and server records are purged on a rolling 30-day window.
6. Third-party content and fair use
Where the Site quotes, embeds, links to, or paraphrases material from third-party publishers (El País, Público, Mediapart, Internazionale, ECRE, MPI Europe, Statewatch, InfoMigrants and others), those quotations and references are made under recognised fair-use / Zitatrecht principles for the purpose of commentary, criticism, and scholarship. Third-party content remains the property of its respective publisher.
7. Intellectual property in Site-original content
Original articles, layouts, code, and editorial curation on the Site are the property of the Site operators. You may quote briefly with attribution and a link back to the source article. You may not republish articles in full without written permission.
8. User conduct
You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes. Do not attempt to compromise Site security, disrupt availability for others, scrape at abusive rates, or use Site content to intimidate, defame, or harass any named applicant, journalist, lawyer, or administrative officer.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. illegalin.eu makes no warranties, express or implied, about the completeness, accuracy, or ongoing availability of any content, and specifically disclaims any liability arising from reliance on Site content for legal, financial, medical, or administrative decisions.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, illegalin.eu and its operators will not be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the Site.
11. Governing law and forum
These Terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably shall be brought before the courts of Bern, Switzerland, without regard to conflict-of-laws provisions.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after a revision constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
